The air intake feeds the carburetor. The spark plug ignites the fuel. The muffler silences the explosion. The spark arrestor traps hot debris so you don’t start a forest fire. And the centrifugal clutch? It engages the chain only when you squeeze the throttle.
There is also a tiny oil pump. It shoots oil up the bar. Lubrication prevents the chain from seizing. Without it, you shred the guide bar in seconds.
